We are pleased to tell you that we are expecting 2 litters this summer. Of course, that is, as long as nature takes the course we hope she does! Jazz, Dinnye and Gloria started their heat cycles towards the end of May. Because of the uncertainty of Duke being able to perform his duties, we made the decision to mate Jazz to Oz, a very nice English golden owned by a breeder friend of ours. It appears the matings were successful and we estimate the date of birth will be July 20th. We put Duke and Dinnye together and unless he "got things done" while we weren't looking, Dinnye will have to wait until her next cycle. Gloria also made to the trip to see Oz and again, the matings appear to be successful so her litter should be whelped around August 4th Oz has a fine pedigree - his father his one of my favorite goldens - Gatchell Man of Honor and grandfather is the famous Dewmist Silkscreen. It'll be a busy summer but we are looking forward to it. We expect Dion to start her heat some time in July - it remains to be seen who we will pair her with.
